SMSSL through its parent organization “SWAYANSHREE (SS)” has established a Legal Cell for Gender Justice” and through that extend social and legal justice to aggrieved member in the household and community as well. The objective of legal cell constitutes three basic functions in meting out justice to agonized women member and evolving a society free from gender discrimination. SMSSL/SS facilitated a series of awareness camps, provided counseling services to the affected families and also referred several cases to the police and court during last year. The initiative was implemented in close collaborations with CLAP & the District/State level Legal Services Authority, HRPC, State Commission for women, Nari Seba Sadan (service provider), Cuttack Mahila police station, Family court Commission for Human Rights & CLAP.
